As the Vice President of Engineering, you will play a critical role in shaping our technology strategy, leading the engineering team, and driving the successful delivery of our software products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, and operations, to ensure alignment and accelerate product development cycles. Your technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic mindset will be crucial in scaling our engineering capabilities and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Leadership and Strategy:
- Provide strategic leadership and vision for the engineering department, aligning it with the overall business objectives and product roadmap.
- Collaborate with the executive team to define and execute the technology strategy, ensuring it supports the company's long-term goals.
- Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and high performance within the engineering team.
- Build and lead a high-performing engineering team by attracting, hiring, and retaining top talent.
- Set clear expectations, define goals, and provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering their professional growth.

- Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from ideation and requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
- Work closely with product management to define product roadmaps, prioritize feature development, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software releases; including requirements analysis, strategic planning, design/architecture, execution, deployment, and maintenance.
- Drive engineering best practices, agile methodologies, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and champion their adoption to enhance our product offerings.
- Provide technical guidance and architectural oversight to ensure scalability, reliability, and security of our software products.
- Foster a culture of code quality, testing, and documentation, driving engineering practices that result in robust and maintainable software.
- Building quality assurance and data protection processes, ensuring all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, and operations, to ensure alignment and seamless execution of product development initiatives.
- Act as a technical advisor to senior leadership, providing insights on engineering-related matters, risks, and opportunities.
- Establish and nurture relationships with external partners, vendors, and technology providers, as needed.
- Support the Sales Team where required by liaising with customer technical teams.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Proven experience (9+ years) in a leadership role within an enterprise SaaS organization, overseeing software engineering teams.
- Deep technical expertise in software development, with a strong understanding of modern web technologies, cloud platforms, and scalable architectures.
- Demonstrated success in delivering high-quality software products on schedule and within budget.
- Experience with agile methodologies, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and other software development best practices.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing engineering teams.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to align technical decisions with business goals.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
