Join our team as a Lab Scientist and help virtualize biological experiments to accelerate discovery!

As a Lab Scientist, you are responsible for independent experimentation and consistent delivery on delegated tasks under the supervision of senior staff members. You have a reliable skillset in molecular biology and cell biology tools, which you will utilize regularly to execute and troubleshoot in vitro experiments. You are able to critically analyze your own experimental results and integrate these insights into the ongoing work. Accurate, up-to-date documentation is a key component of your workflow, ensuring transparency and reproducibility.

The Lab Scientist also supports laboratory automation workflows to make sure everything is prepared such as drug solutions, labware and other consumables.

Responsibilities

• Mammalian cell culture maintenance, biobanking and related reagent preparations

• Preparation and performance of in vitro experiments planned together with Lead Scientists

• Supporting laboratory robotic automation workflows with preparations, both logistically and with digital documentation

• Embracing novel assay developments with reliable execution

• Reporting of results through Electronic Lab Notebook system and presentations to the wider team

Skills

• Bachelors/Masters in biology, bioengineering or medical sciences with a few years of wet laboratory experience

• Expert in cell culturing of secondary cancer cell lines, ideally experience with primary culture or iPSCs

• Basic molecular biology and cell biology experience (e.g. plate reader-based assays, siRNA transfection, microscopy etc.)

• Excellent digital skills using Excel, Powerpoint, GraphPad, ideally even some programming skills with Python or SQL

• High quality documentation skills to generate standard operational protocols

• Minimal knowledge about statistics and data science is considered a strong advantage
