The Production Manager is responsible for owning Stratio’s hardware and derivatives production process end-to-end. You will be responsible for ensuring that the manufacturing process runs smoothly, reliably, efficiently and with quality.

You’ll be joining the Embedded Systems & Hardware team responsible for developing our IoT device, implementing both hardware and firmware architectures, ensuring the performance and integrity of our product.


As Production Manager you will

  • Liaise with Hardware Engineers and upper management to understand requirements and goals;
  • Create, monitor and adjust assembly procedures and related documentation;
  • Estimate costs, prepare deliverables, plan and monitor production;
  • Estimate, negotiate and agree budgets and timescales with suppliers and upper management;
  • Define timeline for production and ensure it’s met, doing adjustments as needed;
  • Order materials/components and source alternatives;
  • Do procurement and qualification of new PCBA suppliers;
  • Ensure output meets quality standards;
  • Coordinate and support the development of production test jigs and quality control setups;
  • Communicate regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production;
  • Maintain a close communication with stakeholders and suppliers regarding production status,collecting metrics that provide compliance evidence for the defined quality metrics, and define follow-up action plans.

This is what we believe is needed for this role

  • Experience leading manufacturing processes of IoT products (3+ years);
  • Track record of effective budgeting and supplier negotiation;
  • Experience in the definition and reporting on key production metrics;
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach;
  • Be available to go to the manufacturer and Stratio’s office 25% of the time (1 week per month, as necessary) for onsite activities;
  • Fluency in English.

Bonus points

  • BSc. or MSc in Electronics Engineer or similar field;
  • Experience in the Automotive industry;
  • Automotive interest.

We expect you to

1 month:

  • Get to know your team;
  • Get to know your stakeholders;
  • Understand the current production process and internal owners.

3 months:

  • Take ownership of our IoT production process;
  • Identify bottlenecks/blockers;
  • Start revising our internal process for cabling production.

6 months:

  • Having a plan for the internal process of cabling manufacturing;
  • Take ownership of the cable production process;
  • Be responsible for negotiating with our production partners;
  • Identify potential gains with new strategy (e.g. buying components might mean a huge cost save compared to offloading all to the factory, or not).
