Based in Manchester’s popular Northern Quarter, we are seeking a talented and highly motivated Front End Web Application Developer to join our growing team. If you are passionate about creating beautiful, responsive and interactive web applications, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers and back-end developers to transform wireframes and company branding into visually stunning and functional web applications
• Develop and maintain web applications using Vue.js, React, or a similar reactive JavaScript framework

• Implement responsive and mobile-first designs using CSS, including frameworks such as Tailwind CSS or equivalent
• Work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality, documented code on time and within scope
• Communicate effectively with back-end developers to integrate with RESTful APIs and WebSockets
• Understand and work with OpenAPI specifications to ensure seamless interaction with back-end services

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Proven experience as a Front End Developer or similar role

• Proficiency in Vue.js, React, or a similar reactive JavaScript framework
• Strong expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

• Experience with responsive web design and CSS frameworks (e.g. Tailwind CSS)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with front-end build tools such as Webpack, Babel, or similar
• Knowledge of state management libraries (e.g., Pinia, Redux) for JavaScript frameworks
• Understanding of web accessibility standards and best practices
• Experience with server-side rendering (SSR) and progressive web app (PWA) development

• Familiarity with unit testing and testing frameworks
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Gitlab Pipelines)
