Hackathon Developer Advocate

Location: San Francisco, in-person only
Compensation: Competitive, based on experience
Skills: Hackathon coordination, developer community engagement, Typescript or Python, strong organizational and communication skills

About the role

Your mission will be to create inspiring, engaging hackathons that bring developers together to explore and build with Restack. You’ll coordinate all aspects of our hackathons in San Francisco, from logistics to follow-up, ensuring participants have an incredible experience.

Why Join Us?

Restack was built because we were frustrated with existing frameworks that relied on the wrong abstractions, lacked flexibility, and made it difficult to build truly autonomous AI systems. With $8M raised from top investors, including the CEO of GitHub and Crane Ventures, we’re on a mission to create the best developer platform for autonomous AI.

About You

Startup Mindset: You thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage environment with minimal processes. You’re comfortable taking ownership and making decisions.
Typescript/Python: You should be comfortable working with our framework and capable of building products with it, running workshops, and assisting developers at events. While we don’t require senior-level expertise, you should have a solid understanding of TypeScript and/or Python.
Hackathon organization skills: You have experience organizing hackathons.
Community-driven: You’re passionate about supporting and advocating for developers, ensuring they have an amazing experience.
Clear communicator: You can convey information in a way that’s accessible, precise, and engaging.
