About pyannoteAI

pyannoteAI builds Speaker Intelligence AI. Our speaker diarization models identify who speaks and when in any audio, in any language, so that voice applications know who said what.

The company was founded by voice AI researchers with 10+ years in the field (ex-CNRS research scientists). Our open-source model is the 9th most downloaded on Hugging Face, with 40+ million monthly downloads and more than 375,000 users worldwide. We raised €8M from Crane Venture Partners, Serena, and angels from Hugging Face and OpenAI.

Our customers are growing and well-established companies in meeting transcription, call center analytics, media and dubbing, and voice agents. They buy through custom enterprise contracts, either on our API or on-premises. We are also starting to sell services alongside our models: our forward-deployed engineers work with customer teams, the way an applied AI lab does, to deploy voice AI use cases on the customer’s own infrastructure.

🧵 Your role

As our first Business Development Representative, you own pipeline generation for pyannoteAI. You handle the inbound flow coming from our open-source community and our platform, and you run outbound on the accounts we want to sign as enterprise customers. You report to our Growth Lead and work daily with our Account Executive and Growth team.

Responsibilities

  • Own all pipeline-generating activity on your account list, from first touch to qualified handoff.
  • Manage and prioritize a high volume of inbound leads: open-source users, platform sign-ups, pricing page visits and contact requests.
  • Run the first qualification of high-potential leads: use case, audio volume, deployment (API or on-premises), timeline and decision process.
  • Run outbound on strategic accounts (growing and well-established companies) to open enterprise opportunities.
  • Identify needs that go beyond the models (integration, custom deployment, forward-deployed engineering) and route them to the right people.
  • Work with the Account Executive to define what a qualified opportunity is and to improve the handoff.
  • Use CRM and product usage data to show which segments and signals convert, and to inform where the sales team spends its time.
  • Improve sequences, tooling and processes as you go. You are building the function.
  • 🔍 You may be a good fit if you have

  • 2 to 3+ years of experience in a fast-growing startup (business development, sales, partnerships or lead management).
  • Strong analytical skills: you turn CRM and usage data into decisions on which accounts to work on and how.
  • Experience with HubSpot or Salesforce, Lemlist, and sales engagement platforms (Salesloft / Outreach).
  • Excellent written and spoken communication in English, with engineers as well as senior business stakeholders.
  • The ability to work in a small, fast-moving team without a fixed playbook.
  • Hands-on use of AI and automation tools in your daily work.
  • A degree in business, engineering, computer science or a related field.
  • The ability to work in English (must-have); a language other than French is a plus!
  • Strong candidates may also have

  • Exposure to enterprise selling: multi-stakeholder deals, security and legal reviews, procurement.
  • An interest in AI/ML and an understanding of API-first, usage-based business models.
  • Exposure to services, consulting or solutions selling.
  • Knowledge of the voice AI space or of developer-focused products.
  • 💚 What you’ll get

  • A competitive salary and BSPCE (French ESOP)
  • Premium Alan health insurance and full transportation reimbursement
  • 5 weeks of paid vacation + 10 RTT days
  • Offices at La Maison in central Paris (Motier Ventures’ hub), with up to 3 days remote per week
  • A path to Account Executive as you prove yourself and as the team grows
  • ⭐️ Hiring process

The process has four steps and takes about three weeks from application to offer. We reply within 2 to 3 days after each step.

  • Screening call (30 min) with our Chief of Staff
  • Hiring manager interview (30 min) with your future manager, including a short role-play
  • Practical exercise (2 to 3 hours of work, returned within 3 days), followed by a 45-minute debrief
  • Founders conversation (45 min)
