From meeting transcription and call center analytics to video dubbing and voice agents, pyannoteAI powers the next generation of voice-enabled applications across industries that depend on understanding who speaks and when.
Your role
As our first SDR, you'll be the engine at the very top of pyannoteAI's commercial funnel. We're a developer-first company, so this isn't about cold-call grinding; it's about turning a massive, engaged community of developers into a qualified enterprise pipeline. You'll be a founding member of our go-to-market motion and learn first-hand how a deep-tech sales engine is built from the ground up.
You'll focus on two core streams:
Pipeline generation
Put leads in sequence and run multi-channel outreach; building, testing, and iterating on sequences that turn developer interest into booked meetings.
Tap into a unique growth engine: a community of 270,000+ open-source users, thousands of new users every month, and hundreds of inbound leads. Your job is to identify the highest-potential signals and act on them fast.
Qualify inbound and outbound prospects, route the right opportunities to our Account Executive, and make sure no promising lead slips through the cracks.
Building our GTM foundations
Own the top of the funnel from first touch to qualified handoff. You source, research, and qualify; booking high-quality meetings that feed our enterprise pipeline.
Keep our CRM clean and our data sharp. Partner with our AE and Growth team to refine sequences, messaging, and processes, using insights from the field to continuously improve our motion.
Develop deep voice AI expertise: become fluent in the conversational AI landscape, competitive solutions, emerging trends, and customer use cases, so you can spark the right conversations with technical buyers.
What makes this role unique: You'll work directly with experienced Growth operators in a developer-first, product-led environment. You'll have direct prospect exposure from day one and help define how we build pipeline for one of the most innovative voice AI platforms in the market. This is a launchpad role: a successful SDR can expect a clear, fast path toward Account Executive as we scale.
What we're looking for
Must-haves:
Strong taste for AI and developer tools. You're genuinely excited about the space, intellectually curious, and quick to get fluent in technical products, APIs, and the voice AI landscape.
Hands-on with AI and tools. You instinctively reach for AI and automation to get things done. Not an expert, but someone with real experience or genuine drive to build your own workflows.
Exceptional communicator. Strong written and verbal skills, with the ability to craft sharp, personalized outreach and translate technical concepts into clear value for a developer and business audience.
Highly organized with great follow-up. You manage many prospects in parallel with discipline, keep sequences moving, and never let a lead go cold.
Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity. You're energized by building from zero, comfortable without a rigid playbook, and able to operate autonomously in a fast-moving startup.
Ambitious and entrepreneurial mindset. You want to rise faster than a traditional path allows, you'll roll up your sleeves, and you see this role as the first step toward becoming a great closer.
Fluent in English. Comfortable operating in English professionally.
Nice-to-haves:
A first BDR/SDR experience. Ideally a first stint in a similar role, particularly in SaaS, deep-tech, or a developer-focused product.
Familiarity with sales tools. HubSpot, Notion, Lemlist, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar platforms.
Exposure to AI/ML, developer tools, or API-driven products. Familiarity with the voice AI landscape or adjacent spaces will accelerate your ramp.
Product-led growth (PLG) experience. You understand how to spot and convert engaged users into enterprise opportunities.
Early-stage startup or scale-up experience. You've worn multiple hats and thrived in resource-constrained environments.

Screening call (30 min) — Get to know each other with our Chief of Staff and explore product philosophy alignment.
Practical exercise (2-3 days) — A short prospecting/sequencing exercise to see your creativity and approach in action.
