Deta is pushing the limits of two critical technologies — personal cloud computing & operating systems — for users around the world.

As part of our engineering team, you’ll build and implement our backend APIs and libraries, as well as client-side tools like CLIs and SDKs.

Your Role

• Code, test, deploy, integrate, secure, scale, maintain and monitor robust and performant services

• Understand and implement technical requirements and features

• Wear many hats. We are a team of generalists, so you shouldn’t be scared of touching the frontend from time to time or writing a blog post about a new feature

Your Profile

The following profile is just a suggestion, and we will hire software engineers who don’t satisfy all the requirements but are amazing at something important.

Our core stack is: Go, Kubernetes, AWS (EKS, EC2, Lambda, etc), Nginx, and PostgreSQL.

• 2+ years of experience with Go/Rust

• Experience with Python and JavaScript/TypeScript

• Good knowledge of database systems, experience with SQL

• Good knowledge of distributed systems and experience with large-scale distributed systems is a plus

• Good knowledge of Linux systems and containerization

• Good knowledge of modern web development technologies and practices

• Can understand and deliver technical requirements, and design backend APIs

• Good technical communication skills and generally autonomous
