The Role:

The Director of product will be expected to build and lead our product development strategy & execution. Main responsibilities include working with a cross-functional team to translate initial ideas into an innovative product design, empathetically connect with healthcare professional and patient customers, and drive customer-centric market research for product development. This role will lead the Product Development Process to build a robust product portfolio strategy for both short-term and long-term planning.

Your voice will help ensure our portfolio maintains a critical balance of iterative and disruptive solutions to continuously launch a pipeline of innovation for our customers.


  • Conduct market research to uncover customer and business insights; translate those insights into products and programs that deliver growth for the product category

  • Lead the product development process by partnering with Clinical, Regulatory, Engineering, Operations, Commercial, and other critical functions

  • Lead product planning within the category – understanding and analyzing competitive landscape

  • Develop a strategy that highlights opportunities to build and strengthen our future portfolio pipeline

  • Collaborate with members of Research & Technology, Clinical and the Commercial organization to identify opportunities for product development and portfolio creation

  • Build the business case for next-generation programs and presents to senior management to secure investment

  • Identify market research needs and generates customer insights utilizing multiple methodologies to collect voice of customer feedback

  • Work closely with physician customers to better understand needs and solicit concept feedback

  • Facilitate customer meetings and advisory board discussions

  • Own all marketing deliverables for assigned early-stage development program(s)

  • Exercise superior judgement in planning, organizing and executing work; monitors performance and reports program status.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of marketing and product management experience

  • Practical knowledge and demonstrated competence within the healthtech space

  • Strong interpersonal skills allowing for effective regional/customer-level support

  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, with a results-driven mindset

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement product development plans across geographies and product lines and customer types

  • Experience working with unmet needs, requirements and building product launch plans

  • Experience in collaborating with physicians to drive clinical practice

  • Ability to multitask while managing multiple projects and day-to-day responsibilities

  • Experience with collaborating with and being part of cross-functional teams

  • Appreciates the need and value in collaboration and maintaining a customer-centric approach

  • New product voice of customer/market research and design experience

  • Cross-functional product management (ownership) experience

  • Previous experience in medical device, pharmaceutical or consumer products preferred

  • Knowledge of medical device industry practices, techniques and standards (e.g., role of clinical trials, reimbursement landscape)

  • Experience working in a fast-paced organization.
