Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive DevOps Engineer with 1–3 years of experience to join our infrastructure team. This role focuses on scaling cloud-native environments, primarily centered around Kubernetes (EKS/GKE/Kubeadm) and AWS. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of our production systems—from provisioning infrastructure with Terraform to managing complex traffic routing and ensuring deep system observability.

The ideal candidate is comfortable handling real-world production workloads, automating manual tasks, and troubleshooting complex networking or container-level issues end-to-end.

Key Responsibilities

  • Kubernetes Orchestration: Design, deploy, and operate Kubernetes clusters (EKS/GKE) and manage containerized workloads.

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Provision and manage multi-cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) using Terraform and Ansible.

  • Traffic & Routing: Manage NGINX Ingress, AWS ALBs, and explore the Kubernetes Gateway API for advanced traffic strategies (Canary, Blue/Green).

  • CI/CD & GitOps: Build and optimize deployment pipelines using GitLab CI, GitHub Actions and manage deployments via ArgoCD.

  • Observability: Build and maintain the "LGTM" stack (Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir/Prometheus) to monitor infrastructure and application health.

  • Database Operations: Assist in the setup, tuning, and backup of relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and ElasticSearch.

  • Security & Automation: Manage secrets (Vault/External Secrets) and automate operational tasks using Python, Bash, or Go.

  • Incident Response: Participate in on-call rotations, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and troubleshoot networking/cloud service issues.

Technical Requirements

  • Cloud & Containers: 1+ years of hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, SQS) and Kubernetes internals.

  • Automation: Proficiency in Python or Bash for scripting and Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.

  • Networking: Strong understanding of DNS, TLS/SSL, Load Balancing, and Kubernetes networking (CNI/Service Mesh).

  • CI/CD: Practical experience with Git-based workflows and automated pipeline construction.

  • Database Knowledge: Familiarity with monitoring and maintaining production databases (SQL & NoSQL).

  • Linux Mastery: Solid command of Linux system administration and performance tuning.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with Multi-region/Multi-cluster deployments.

  • Exposure to Cost Optimization and FinOps practices.

  • Familiarity with SRE principles (SLIs, SLOs, and Error Budgets).

  • Knowledge of Cloud Security frameworks and container hardening.
