About the Position:

Bluefish is looking for a passionate individual with experience across talent acquisition and HR generalist leadership. This person owns full-cycle recruiting for technical, GTM, and operational roles while also building scalable HR processes across onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, and compliance. As an early member of the People team, you’ll help shape how our company grows and thrives.

This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on yet strategic, excited to roll up their sleeves in recruiting while also building out longer-term people programs.

What You Will Be Doing

Talent Acquisition (60%)

  • Own full-cycle recruiting across technical, GTM, and business roles, from sourcing to offer.
  • Partner with executives and hiring managers to define role requirements and hiring strategies.
  • Build and manage a strong candidate pipeline using creative sourcing methods.
  • Manage relationships with external recruiting agencies, including negotiating contracts, setting performance expectations, and ensuring alignment with hiring needs and company culture
  • Develop a compelling employer brand that resonates with top talent.
  • Track and report recruiting metrics (pipeline health, time-to-fill, candidate experience).

HR Generalist (40%)

  • Design and implement HR processes, policies, and programs for a scaling Series A company.
  • Oversee onboarding and ensure a best-in-class employee experience.
  • Support managers with performance management, career development, and employee relations.
  • Partner with leadership on engagement initiatives, DEI, and culture-building.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and partner with external HR/payroll vendors.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees across all levels.

What We’re Looking For

  • 7–10 years of HR/talent acquisition experience, ideally in a high-growth SaaS or startup environment.
  • Proven success managing full-cycle recruiting across diverse functions.
  • Experience building HR processes and programs from the ground up.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and compliance best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to influence at all levels.
  • Balance of strategic vision and hands-on execution.
  • Excited to work in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience scaling a company from ~20 to 200 employees.
  • Familiarity with HRIS, ATS, and people analytics tools.
  • Exposure to compensation strategy and leveling frameworks.
